Specialty Fabrication and Powder Coating (SFPC)
opened its doors in November, 2004.
Since
that time they have expanded
operations and outperformed the original projected business plans in the
first two years.
Expansion has allowed the addition of a second plant for additional
growth.
Owner
and CEO Rod Griffin
purchased the fabrication business from Conair.
Rod
states that, "Diversification and an experienced work force are key contributors
to our early and continued success."
SFPC
is a metal fabrication company that can fabricate, weld and assemble a
variety of products.
To compliment their production capabilities, they offer the skills of their
in-house engineering staff to work with customers to design new products
or reduce cost of an existing product through Design for Manufacturing
(DFM).
The operations include a complete sheet metal fabrication department; which includes three Bystronic Lasers, turret punch capability, forming and rolling of all shapes and spot welding. SFPC's welding department is complimented by a new robotic welder added in 2008; the rest of the department includes "mig" and "tig" welding for all types of metals as well as seam welding. Their finishing department includes a state-of- the-art automated powder coating line and liquid painting is available for larger fabrications. In addition, they have a new Virtek LaserQC machine to support Quality Control, and any reverse engineering needs.
Manufacturing cells,
KAN-BAN Inventory Control, JIT System, Quality System checks and
